July UOVA Monthly Meeting Minutes

In Attendance: Sundi Brown, Bob Ward, Traci Siriprathane, Amelia, Banyan
Excused: Lynsdey Henderson, Lori Taylor, Stacey, Lon Woodruff, Taunzia H., Kevin W.
The Board acknowledges that not enough members are present to form a quorum to vote on anything, but decides to proceed with the meeting.
The Board reviews the June notes and financials. Everything looks ok.
Old Business:
The drop-in league started and the first night went great. 40+ people came out. We expect this league to be popular and are happy with how it is going so far.
Bob brings up the idea of giving a special “early-bird” discount to people who buy their memberships at the end of the season – instead of just selling them cheaper at the end of the season, why not combine the current year (end of year purchase) with the next year’s membership as well. $25 for the remainder of the 09 season PLUS all of 2010 season OR $15 for the rest of the 09 season.
We still need to award the drawing balls for Wasatch for June and July.
We are still wondering if we are going to offer a Reverse Co-Ed tourney this year. If so, does anyone know where the lines are that Michael made?

July 18th Rep 1: Lon Rep 2 we need someone; Bob will do Wasatch
July 25th Rep 1: Traci Rep 2: Sundi
August 1st Rep 1: Lon Rep 2: we need someone if no one Traci will take it; Open Men and Women will need someone
August 8th Rep 1: Traci Rep 2: we need someone; Sundi will do Wasatch
August 14th We need two Reps
Next meeting is August 10th at 9am.
